Unit 1: Amazon Rainforest vs. Florida Everglades

Students will get creative and learn about animals and habitats in the Amazon rainforest compared to Florida's Everglades. The weekly hour long session will include games, activities, phonics lesson, projects, and learning. Dates: September 10, 17, and October 1, 8. Meet at BCI Wedneadays.

Example Schedule

• Creative Critter Creation (Students use recycled materials to make an animal found in the Amazon rainforest)

• Word Scramble- Learn about a mystery animal from the Amazon

• Mini lesson- learn about phonics and the Amazon

• Vocabulary game

• Group activity and Project

• Clean up & go!

Students will need to be signed-out by an adult or returned back to aftercare at 3:30
